A Slice of Life Engagement Session

Mary and Brian, where to even start with this fun couple! They turned their engagement session into a slice of life tour around their neighborhood!!  This was just the beginning of their many brillant ideas as you will soon see on the next blog post when I showcase their wedding!  So why a laundry mat?  Mary and Brian do their laundry every Friday night and instead of making it a chore, I will bet that they can turn even that into a good time!

Next we headed off to their favorite wine and cheese location, Casellula. Mary and Brian headed inside for a glass of wine while I stayed outside and photographed them paparazzi stye.

Later we strolled the 9th Ave Street Fair- Brian was thrilled when he spotted his favorite caramel popcorn!  He then proceeded to try and impress Mary with his attempts of catching the popcorn in his mouth…I think he was more successful at putting her into hysterics!

Lastly, as if this shoot could not get any better we ended up at their favorite dive bar, Rudy’s!  In these next 3 photographs Mary takes over for the bouncer as he takes a break. She was tough at checking I.D.s but she let most of the clientele in.  That is til Brian tried to get in. Fiance or not, he had to work for it!

Brian desperate to get into Rudy’s for one of their free hotdogs succumbs to bribing Mary with money.  Mary laughs at his pathetic attempt.

Finally Brian relies on his sex appeal….

…and it works! Happily they are both inside sharing a draft beer and a kiss in a cozy booth that has been stitched together countless times with electrical tape…the perfect ending to a great day!
