Shannon & Dave’s Aqua Turf Club Wedding

Shannon and Dave were once a couple that attended a wedding that Greg and I photographed a few years ago.  I was so excited when I received an email from Shannon explaining how she knew of us. I was even more excited about their wedding after we went on a walking tour of NYC for their engagement shoot!  We started at Grand Central- headed west to Times Square and ended up climbing over boulders in Central Park!  They joked, they laughed, they ate hotdogs and I knew that Greg and I were very lucky to be chosen to photograph this sweet and fun couple’s wedding!

Shannon and Dave got married on one of the most beautiful days of the year at the gorgeous  Aqua Turf Club.  They decided to do a first look so the energy was very high right from the start as these two prepared to see each other!

Texts were sent warning Dave where Shannon would be as to not ruin the first look!

Dave waits in position!

This moment is just incredible to be a part of!  We love photographing first looks!

So sweet!!

I think this shot taken by Greg is so perfect, Dave is taking in how incredible Shannon looks!  Every woman wants to be appreciated this way after all the hard work of picking THE dress!

If you know me you know I love those kissing shots!  With these two we didn’t even have to ask, Shannon and Dave were oozing with love on their wedding day!

This just might be my favorite shot of the day and I can’t even take credit for it.  Greg was able to use his stealth ways to capture this moment!

NO this was not planned!  It literally started raining flower petals!

The bouquet was so lovely, the color palette was perfect and looked amazing against Shannon’s white dress. Marion Gannon of Brides Only Flowers was the flower designer for this wedding.

The church bells are ringing and while the procession is happening Shannon and her Dad share a quiet moment outside the church.

While inside the church hearts are being melted as Shannon and Dave’s nieces are being wheeled down the aisle!  Flower Babies!  Perfection!

You have heard it before from me and it is true time and time again, a first look does not take away from seeing your bride walk down the aisle!

Shannon stands with her Dad before he sends her off to Dave!

After he does and the minster begins to speak about being married when “WAIT- Stop….” Shannon’s veil was not pulled over correctly and it must have been bugging her!  She giggled and went over to her sister to have it fixed!  I have never heard such laughter during a wedding , it was fantastic!

Now she is ready to get married!

Look at those smiles, these two were beaming at each other as they exchanged their vows!

Kiss the bride!

Ecstatic to be married!

Can’t get enough of the bouquet and dress!

I don’t always blog wedding party pictures but how can you not when this was the best wedding party EVER?  Even the 2 babies were cooperative!  Thank you everyone!

I asked Shannon and Dave to each think about where and how they wanted to be photographed with their bridesmaids and groomsmen….Oh boys!

First dance as the Mr and the Mrs!

Never before had we heard not only one but two amazing toasts that took the crowd and the bride and groom from laughter to tears.

Shannon listening with welling tears as her sister wished her and Dave the best for their future together.

There wasn’t a dry eye in the room!

Or a Dad without a lump in his throat.

Dave’s best man brought the laughter back…

But not for long as the toast started to become emotional again.

Dave was greatly moved by his buddy’s toast.  I just love this hug of appreciation he gives him and then the sweetness of Shannon’s kiss to bring that smile back to his face!! I love a man who wears his heart on his sleeve and I know Shannon does too!

Yes you are seeing this correctly, an ice sculpture artfully carved into a truck! Shannon said to me in an email “I decided to let Dave pick the ice sculpture…”!

Shannon and Dave each share a beautiful dance with their parent.

While Dave’s Dad got to have a little sweet dance of his own!

Oh here goes Greg again finding quiet little moments on the dance floor. As a new mother I know exactly how she is feeling in this picture.  The love for your baby is unlike any other love in the world!

I am a HUGE fan of day weddings!  Reason #224, babies and children get to be involved and really enjoy the reception too!

Let the party begin!

Shannon!  Even I didn’t take pictures at my wedding reception!

Dave she already said YES!

This little flower baby tore up the dance floor!

Shannon doubles over in hysterics from all the fun and crazy dance floor shenanigans!

Shannon and Dave we wish you a lifetime of love, happiness and those endless smiles you two have for each other!

An additional thank you to BRB audio video productions and Robert Baione (all things music!) who were so pleasant to work with at this wedding!
