Carmen-Rolling Hills middle school 8th grade graduation portraits

Congratulations Carmen, one of Rolling Hills middle school 8th-grade graduates here in El Dorado Hills, CA!

Carmen is an extremely talented softball player, excels at school and also makes beautiful cakes as a side hustle between all her sports and activities! My favorite part about photographing Carmen is her range of expressions. Carmen can give the camera a straight face without cracking up. That is every photographer’s dream for their subject matter to be able to do! Everyone thinks that when the camera starts to click that you have to smile from ear to ear, that’s just not true. A straight face allows us to see the eyes and the lips formations differently and it’s a great way to add diversity to a collection of images. I have noticed that as a society we think that we have to smile in pictures!

Carmen good luck in high school next year, I cant wait to see all that you accomplish in these next four years!!!
