A natural newborn photoshoot in El Dorado Hills

Meet this precious little one, baby Emma! This sweetie is 5th in her sibling lineup.   I felt a bond with her as I am the 5th in my family also!  Emma will get lots of attention as she grows up and will constantly be striving to be one of the big kids- at least that’s how I was!  Always wanting to be like them.

Baby Emma’s newborn shoot took place at her home.  That’s one of the great things about newborn photography- you don’t need a lot of space. I was tucked in the corner of her parent’s bedroom.

To create a very natural and organic feeling newborn session, I used cream-toned blankets and her mama had bought her this gorgeous knit bonnet and pant set! So adorable!  I love using neutral tons for several reasons. First, I do not like to use anything that is distracting you for the baby!  Babies are gorgeous just as they are! Second, I feel that neutral tones are timeless. In 20 years from now I want you to see a picture of your baby and say “Oh so sweet!” not “That was so 2021!”
