Kimberly & Dana’s Bridgeview Yacht Club Wedding

Kimberly is one of the sweetest brides I have ever met and Dana has a smile that can light up a room.  I know this from doing their engagement shoot, but what I did not know ’til we approached the week of their wedding was that they have INCREDIBLE weather karma!  These two got married on Friday. Thursday was a gross and miserable day of rain and Saturday was a shockingly early, record breaking snow storm!  Friday was GORGEOUS!  This marriage was off to a great start on day one!

Kimberly got ready at her Aunt Eileen’s breathtakingly quaint home.  I was in love and with her bay window with lace curtains that she got from Holland.  Add a spectacular dress not only in its details but also shape and I was in photo bliss!

Moments like this are what makes a wedding day so special.  As Kimberly wait to get buttoned up, her flower girl was all a buzz and making everyone smile, especially Kimberly!

As the ladies did what they needed to do, Kimberly’s dad sat in the other room, but of course there were peeks!

Laaaaaaaaaaa! The lace, the light….

Kimberly’s Mom and sister look on with approval!

Greg always photographs the men getting ready so its the only part of the day I’m not there for.  I love seeing the images of the guys getting ready!  Women are pros at getting ready, the guys not so much, but it looks like Dana and his crew did a great job- that is after they came back from BOATING in the morning .  Yes, boating. So while the ladies were getting their hair straightened or curled, the guys were boating.  They have it so easy.

This groom was prepared for his wedding day!

Looking good Dana!

The handsome guys!

The lovely ladies!

Kimberly you look sensational!

Married!

Sunset at the beach- perfection!

LOVE this!!

Dana and Kimberly take a minute to take an iPhone picture- so 2011, I love it.  Images like this in 20 years from now will be hysterical!

Photographing the bouquet is one of my favorite things to do, its always a nice quiet moment when I can be alone with the beautiful flowers and just take some creative images.  For this wedding, I did not have time, as I was doing the portraits (my VERY favorite part of the day).  As we were leaving the beach in a half serious half joking manner, I asked Greg if he got the pretty shots of the bouquet that I would like.  He said yes and boy was he not joking-I had so many to choose from, but this one on the boardwalk was one of my favorites!

Off to the Bridgeview Yacht Club for the reception.

SpoOoky!!  I was blown away when I saw how cool and seasonally appropriate Kimberly & Dana’s place card table set up was!

Cocktail hour was exceptional with this amazing ice sculpture of Kimberly and Dana’s initials that doubles as an ice flute!  Add hollowed out limes and lemons as cups!!

Apple Martini’s with cinnamon sugar edges!

Honestly, has there ever been a cuter little ring bearer?!  Just wait til you see what he does during the first dance- if your heart has not fully melted just by this image alone, it surely will be melted to a puddle when you see his next picture!

Oh thank you little ring bearer for your adorable sweetness!!! It was such a fairy tale moment!

Kimberly dances with her Dad, don’t you just love his mustache?

Then Dana dances with his Mom who was so adorable and was giving him big kisses during it!

Sisters.  This was such a beautiful moment between Kimberly and her sister, its such an honor to be able to capture a moment such as this with my camera.

Kimberly has the best “uh oh” look here, but Dana was quite the gentleman and he behaved!

And the party starts!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!  Props to this guy!  And yes, his hands are not even on the ground!!!  Not only do I love how this guy was pulling a Cirque Du Soleil move but also all the expressions of everyone watching him!!  The guy on the left was undoing his tie in a “hey, I have to top this” kind of way, Kimberly the sweet person that she is looks worried that he might hurt himself, the guy next to her looks mighty impressed and the woman right behind him is thoroughly enjoying the show!

This wedding took dance circle to a whole new level!  There was some serious competition and strutting happening!

Nobody held back….

This FABULOUS woman was a clear winner!

I thought this was going to be the image I left on…

…but as a rule when we pack our bags to leave we always keep a camera out and THANKFULLY we did because as we were heading out, I heard the MC say, “Don’t worry Kimberly- they work out” and there she was being hoisted into the air on a chair!

CONGRATULATIONS Kimberly and Dana!!!

( I know I said LOVE a million times in this post, I can’t help it- I just LOVED this wedding!)
