You know when you had a whole weekend planned out perfectly and you are soooo excited?! Then CHANGE OF PLANS, your son becomes covered in hives from head to toe that keep growing and multiplying so you have go to urgent care two separate times instead? Yeah, that’s the weekend we had!
Although our plans were not as exciting as we hoped this weekend would be, Jax has been such a trooper through all of his discomfort and will hopefully be better soon. And the romantic date we had planned last night turned into a family couch session under tons of blankets watching Finding Nemo and having popcorn, so who needs romance?!
We hope your Valentine’s Day was less scary than ours and but filled with just as much chocolate, which by the way Jax probably got more than he ever would have with those big sick and sad eyes! Here’s a picture from a few day ago when Jax was hive free and painting a home for the Valentine Day Fairies!
(And for those of you I know will ask me, according to the doctors- Jax’s immune system is having a hyper sensitive reaction to a virus he possible had weeks ago (though he didn’t show any signs of anything more than a cold this winter) and it’s coming out in the way of hives. Large ones- some larger than a quarter and now connecting to each other making large areas of his body affected. Kids- they keep you on your toes!)
